Brenda M. Baldini, 77, of North Scranton, died on Sunday morning at The Gardens of Green Ridge,

Scranton. She was preceded in death by her husband of over 48 years, Robert Baldini, who died in 2016.

Born in Scranton, daughter of the late George and Eva Leases Gedrimas, she was a graduate of Holy

Rosary High School. Brenda and Bob were owner/operators of Motel 81 in Scott Township. Brenda also

worked for Sears, and then for The ARC, before retiring in 2013. Brenda had a passion for giving back

and volunteered at her children’s schools, and for her church and the community at large.

She loved music, including singing in the choir at St. Gregory’s Church in Clarks Summit. She also enjoyed

skiing on the slopes of Elk Mountain and playing tennis at the Birchwood Racquet Club in her younger

years. Later, she enjoyed traveling and exploring, with Bob, after retirement.

Brenda’s warmth, humor, and tireless spirit touched everyone who knew her. Brenda loved to observe

nature and cared for all her friends, colleagues, and fellow residents and staff at The Gardens, always

wanting to lend a hand or an ear. Brenda was sure to make you smile and giggle when you sat and

talked with her. She had unwavering love for her faithful canine companion, Chopper.

Brenda is survived by her two brothers, George Jr. and Edward, and her three daughters April, Sherri,

and Jacqueline, and by her six grandchildren: Julianna, Evan, Matthew, Dominick, Kaitlyn, and Elizabeth.

Brenda also has 2 great-grandchildren, Kensley and Hadley.

A Viewing and Memorial Service will be conducted on Saturday afternoon, June 28, 2025, from 2-4 pm

at the Edward Knight O’Donnell Funeral Home, LLC, 323 William Street, Scranton. The family will receive

relatives and friends from 2:00 pm until the commencement of the Memorial Service at 3:00 pm.

Interment will be private at the convenience of the family.
