Evelyn Louise Davis Harris, 93, of Scranton, passed away peacefully on November 9, 2025, at home, surrounded by her loving family. She was preceded in death by her late husband of 25 years, Howard L. Harris, in 1975.

Born in Scranton on March 23, 1932, to the late Efner and Esther Davis (Davis), she was of the Methodist faith and attended the West Park Methodist Church. Raised in the Hyde Park section of Scranton, she attended Scranton Technical High School.

She worked in sales at the Scranton Dry Goods and then in in Hosiery at The Globe Store. She enjoyed playing cards and games, Rummy-O being a favorite. She enjoyed listening to music and went to various venues where music was being performed, Nay Aug Park being a local favorite.

She also enjoyed drawing as a child.

Evelyn was a military wife and member of the “Gold Star” Family.

Evelyn is survived by her four children, sons Alan and wife LuAnn, of Mesa, AZ , Keith, of Old Forge, Denise Fueshko, and husband Dave, of Dunmore, and Glenn, of Ocala, FL, sister, Linda Bellucci, two grandsons, Keith F., Ocala, FL, and Aaron, AZ, four great-grandchildren, Tryston, Gabrellah, Maddyson, and Mickah, sister-in-laws, Charlene Clark, Ardyth Davitt and Beverly Harris; she also had a close family friend, Tom Styer, and his wife Diane, whom she considered a fourth son.

In addition to her husband, Howard L. Harris, she was preceded in death by a sister, Lorraine Helbing, a brother, Ralph Davis a great-grandson, Jaden Harris, and beloved pets, Sam and Patches.

The family extends its deep gratitude to the entire staff at Allied Hospice Center, for the extraordinary, compassionate care shown to Evelyn and her family.

A Visitation and Blessing Service will be held on Sunday, November 16, 2025, from 3-6 pm at the Eugene A. Cusick Funeral Home, 217 Jefferson Avenue, Scranton. The family will receive relatives and friends at the funeral home from 3:00 pm, until with the commencement of the Blessing Service at 5:15 pm, Pastor Roberts Walls officiating. Interment will be private in Fairview Memorial Park, Elmhurst, at the convenience of the family.
